Collection: Linen
Linen is, along with cotton, wool and silk, one of the oldest types of textiles we have used throughout the ages. It is believed that some of the oldest linen fibers found in the world, could be as old as 30,000 years! It comes from the flax plant, which grows tall and tough and must be processed intensely to give access to it's sought-after fibres.
Linen has gained interest again in recent times, after textiles such as cotton gained popularity in previous centuries. Linen has a wonderful property, in that it dries faster than cotton and easily transports moisture away from the body, where cotton tends to retain it. In addition, it also has a fantastic and charming texture, which is highly sought after in recent fashion.
