Collection: Vintage Worsted Wools

Worsted is a type of yarn that is very tightly spun from only the longest fibers, to give a very strong and sturdy thread. The fabric then woven from that retains these qualities, which is why Worsted woven fabric seldom creases even when worn.
The pride of our store, these Worsted fabrics are amongst the oldest in our stock. When you feel their fibers between your fingers, you can immediately feel that they where made in an era gone and their quality and strength of weave will be difficult to match with any modern fabric.

Most of these textiles come from mills and manufacturers in England, many of whom closed down many, many years ago. That, of course, means that when this stock is gone we will never be able to get our hands on like qualities again.

Please note: Because all of our Vintage Fabrics where bought from an old family run fabric store residing in the center of Copenhagen for around 200 years and who sadly had to close, we do not have access to much information regarding the fiber content or weight of our vintage qualities. We try to get as close as we can by testing the fabric, but please expect the information on each of these textiles to be an estimate more than a certainty.
