Collection: Viscose
Viscose is a material that is produced by processing and breaking down wood fibers, and then spinning fine threads out of it. The technique was originally invented when people tried to create cheaper alternatives to silk in the latter part of the 19th century. Since then, the textile and the techniques of producing it have spread far and wide, and are now available in a wide range of qualities and weaves.
Viscose is also known as Rayon, Acetate, Tencel and Lyocell. These names usually describe different manufacturing methods from the same wood fibers.
